Brushless DC motor for use in air compressors
Industrial air compressors place high demands on both power and speed, while the space available for the motor is often limited. A customer in the compressor industry needed a motor solution that could deliver high performance within strict mechanical tolerances to fit their existing product design.
Transmotec designed a 400-volt brushless DC motor with a rated speed of 16,000 rpm – a combination that gave the customer the power the application required. The motor was manufactured to the customer's precise requirements for mechanical dimensions and tolerances, ensuring a perfect fit in the existing design.
The result was a motor that delivers the power and reliability needed for continuous operation in demanding industrial environments, without the customer having to compromise on their product design. The motor became a key component in a product that is now used daily in tough industrial applications.
