Stepper motors in focus
One of the most reliable and versatile motor types in automation, robotics and precision-controlled systems.
What is a stepper motor?

A stepper motor converts a series of pulses (usually square waves) into a precisely defined increment of shaft rotation – making it ideal for applications that require exact positioning without the need for an encoder or feedback.
Transmotec offers a wide range of hybrid stepper motors
Hybrid stepper motors combine the best characteristics of VR (variable reluctance) and PM (permanent magnet) motors, with several advantages over both: High precision: finer resolution and better positioning accuracy. Higher torque: more torque at low and moderate speeds, especially when holding position. Smooth operation: the combination of permanent magnets and a toothed structure provides smoother, quieter motion. Better efficiency: especially at low speeds, hybrids are more energy-efficient and offer better control.
Stepper motor linear actuators in three versions

Transmotec offers three different versions of stepper motor linear actuators. The non-captive version offers exceptional flexibility with a wide selection of lead screw options in different leads, diameters and lengths. The captive version has a built-in anti-rotation mechanism that makes the screw move in and out depending on the direction of rotation – particularly suited to short strokes. The external version can be combined with both standard nuts and anti-backlash nuts, providing high repeatability even under varying loads.
